In Chapter 5 of Into the Wild, McCandless is strongly influenced by writers like Jack London, whose stories shape the way he thinks about adventure and wilderness. Has a book, song, musician, or artist ever influenced the way you think about life, goals, or the world around you? Identify the specific book, song, musician, or artist and explain how their ideas or message affected your thinking.

Prompt Response: Personally I don't think any song or book has influenced my life in a certain way. Some people get influenced and start to like the person, but I just hear some people have famous quotes and I enjoy that. I don't know always who says the quotes, but I feel like those has a strong message and are helpful in hard times to keep pushing.

Summary: Today in class we had a sub and we read chapter 5 of the book.

Reflection: I learned more about the book today and really am enjoying it.

Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Write about an adventure you would like to go on.
