After reading Chapter 1 of Into the Wild, consider your first impression of Christopher McCandless. Based solely on the events and details presented in this opening chapter, do you believe McCandless truly understood the risks he was taking when he entered the Alaskan wilderness? Why or why not?

Prompt Response: I think he didn't fully understand what he was getting himself truly into. I don't think this because he was not fully prepared. He had very minimal supplies and thought he could live with almost no food. He didn't realize the conditions would be that strong either based on his shoes and his clothes. I believe he just wanted to escape life but didn't know it was this hard.

Summary: Today in class we read chapter 1 in class together.

Reflection: I learned about the new story and what happened to him.

Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.
