In “We Real Cool,” the speakers make choices that seem exciting, bold, and rebellious, even though those choices lead to consequences. Write about a moment in your own life when you followed what looked cool or fun, only to realize afterwards that it wasn’t the smart or responsible path. What influenced your decision, and how did your perspective change later?

 Prompt Response: One time I went to a Hispanic party with my friends thinking it was a good idea. I thought nothing bad because it was with my friends but it turned out pretty dumb. My friends influenced my decision by telling me it would be okay but I didn't feel super safe and saw a lot of scary stuff. So overall I don't think I will agree to go so easy next time. 

Summary: Today in Class we worked on a poem and did a worksheet about some of the words in the poem.

Reflection: I learned a new poem today and the leaning.

  Prompt Response:  Overall the poem poster i enjoyed the most was Angus's. I think his poem was smooth and it transitioned very well all together. His poem poster also had very good lines that rhymed and flowed all together. Also it was very funny the lines he used. I believe he should've won, but he didn't. L learned he also loves basketball because he made it about basketball.  Summary: Today in class we presented our poem posters and did a work sheet on vocabulary.  Reflection:  Today I learned new words and what they mean from our vocabulary work.
